I am in my 50′s, I work full time as a special education teacher, and I have a B.A. in communication studies and an M.S. in special education. I’ve loved animals all my life. Paid and unpaid jobs have included pet sitting, foster care, bottle feeding, live-in ranch hand, groomer/bather, kennel attendant, humane shelter volunteer, large animal sanctuary volunteer, nail clipping, feather trimming, and co-owner of a Chinchilla forum that was started in 2005. When I was 42, I attended Animal Behavior College and received a certificate as a Certified Dog Obedience Instructor. I spent one year teaching classes at PetCo before going back to school for my Master’s degree. Currently, I own 11 pets that share my home in North Highlands, CA (Sacramento suburb). |
